Sammya Shahla, MD

Dr. Sammya Shahla (pronounced 'Sam-ya Sha-la'), who goes by the first name Sammy, has been practicing since 2013, with a focus on family medicine. Her areas of clinical interest are chronic and acute medical problems, women's health, and adult and pediatric medicine. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Shahla attended Al Baath University in Homs, Syria, and completed her residency at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, PA. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Board of Family Medicine.In addition to English, she speaks fluent Arabic. On a personal note, she has two children, and enjoys hiking, traveling, and drawing.
